Let me make it very clear that I hate abortion… the idea of it makes me sick to my stomach and I cry over these children that were not given a chance at life and were killed before they could take their first breath.
But what has the church really done to stop it?
Sure, we spout our scripture and speak our minds using as much science as we can to back up the fact that a fetus is a life from conception, but what have we really DONE to fix the problem?
The problem here is that women are getting pregnant by accident or unknowingly and that’s not going to stop. People are human and accidents do happen whether on birth control or not. Even when you’re married and have the means to have a child you can get a blessed “surprise” if you’re not careful. Not every woman is in the best position to care for a child and has nowhere else to turn. They don’t have faith that God will provide or a network of people who can help them. They are alone and scared. So what has the Bible-believing body of Christ actually done to show these women that there is another alternative to killing their child?
What organization have we created to place these “unwanted” children in the hands of loving families? How can we ensure that these woman will get the healthcare they need? They don’t turn to us because we have nothing to offer them!
Simply declaring Jesus loves you will not work! James 2:16- “If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”
If the church of God wants to really save these babies, I mean actually save lives, then we need to come together and put our money, time and provisions where our mouths are. Organizations NEED to be created to take these children in, funds need to be raised and willing families who want to adopt need to come forward so we can actually DO SOMETHING! If you can’t adopt give your time and money to the cause!! ACT LIKE A CHRISTIAN!
To sit and preach at these woman who are desperate only justifies what they think of us all ready… we are extreme and judgemental. And I can’t argue with that…
Abortion is wrong. It will always be wrong no matter what the law says. But what’s equally wrong is knowing we can do something and we don’t do it because “We’re too busy”, “We have enough children in our family” or “We just don’t have the money”.
It’s a desire of my heart to adopt. In fact, my husband and I have all ready gone through the preliminary meeting to ensure that we are a suitable family that can adopt. At this time we can’t because we’d like to move back to New Jersey and a child needs to be placed with a couple who has not moved within the last three years-which we have moved too many times and are waiting to do so again.
I promise you, if I had the opportunity I would take every child that I could and I would find a way to care for them. I’m looking for a few willing people to help me start a foundation where we can take these women considering abortion, give them the care they need and place their child with the perfect family. It’s been my dream for the past few years and I pray for God to help me put the right pieces in place. But until then I CAN NOT judge these women. Although I hate abortion, I can’t even judge Planned Parenthood for offering abortions (selling the organs is despicable and needs to be punished) but if it’s not Planned Parenthood to offer the abortion it’ll be another company or organization that will be filling the need of this world.
Unfortunately, they are filling the need that the church should be providing. It’s time to get serious and take the faith that we preach and put feet to it. Faith without works is dead (James 2:14)… and if we don’t start working, more children will die.
